After 4 years of a happy adopted life, Stella's human moved into a home that does not allow dogs leading to return to our care. This is one of the saddest situations a rescue faces. 

Please, allow us to reintroduce Stella. She is our big eared quirky sweetheart, with expressive eyes that tell a million page story. Stella is 55 pounds, 6-7 years old, spayed female, mixed staffie. House and crate trained, fully vetted, and eager to please, Stella is ready for her new start on life. She loves to run, play, snuggle, and jump in the car with you. All smiles all the time, Stella is the Twenty Paws version of an iMac. She is ready to fit into your family with no instruction manual necessary. 

After her original human dumped her with a neighbor, who then passed her on to another neighbor; who then set her loose. Stella was discovered running from Brooklyn to Queens. She realized that these humans had more regard for their trash than her. After investigating, we found the original owner who told us, “I don’t want her anymore”. Our team worked non-stop for years to make sure Stella only knew love and safety from that day on. 

During her time with us, Stella was always a volunteer favorite. She is among the most affectionate, spunky, and kindest dogs we have had. She has so much love to give to humans and children. Although she likes dogs, Stella would rather live alone as your best friend. She is firm on her stance with cats, the 2 just can't find a common ground.
